On Tuesday 6th October we went to Bali Treetops for Ben’s birthday treat. Nita and Yogi came with us. We left the villa at 9.00 in the morning and got there about 11.00. The journey was longer than it was meant to be because Nita boked twice because she is never in a car and the roads are really twisty!

Poor Nita !

We have now named this road Boke Junction because Ben boked and Nita boked!!

There were seven circuits in total but to start we had to do some training. We had to learn how to use the clip things (karabiners or something like that) and the pulleys and get harnessed up.

The first circuit we did was High Green. This was quite simple except for one part, the shakey wakey logs! They weren’t good, they really weren’t. Everyone did this one, even my mum.

The second circuit we did was the third hardest. It was the Blue Circuit. It was quite short but the first bit was very hard, but it had three zip lines which are the best part. Mum didn’t do this one, but we were all really proud of her for doing any of it...especially after Singapore hehe.

The third one was the toughest we did, the Orange Circuit. It was the worst by far! We had to do crossy over shakey wakey logs. We were about 10 meters off the ground!! Plus the adults thought it was a good idea to send me first. I was the trail blazer. Another bad part about the orange was a sideways net you had to climb across and it was so tiring that I had to hang by my harness for a break.

We got some video ...

By now Ben had had enough and he was on the ground watching with mum, Dad was standing on a tiny platform swearing, Yogi was having kittens, Nita was as cool as a cucumber that was in a freezer for 10 weeks and I was feeling like I had no arms! Apart from that everything was good.

But we hadn’t finished! There were still three things to go. First there was a high wooden tunnel with gaps, dad didn’t like it, he was too big. I was fine though but Nita was really funny because she didn’t crawl along it but tried to pull herself along. Ben and Mum were laughing their heads off - from the ground obviously!

Second there was a trapeze act! It was quite slow and easy to do. The last part was so hard. You had to go on a thin wire and move to another one under wooden poles and keep repeating it. This was the worst part. Dad really hated this. (is there a theme here?)

There was a final zip line into a net. This was brilliant because I love zip lines but I couldn’t reach the net and I had to pull myself along the wire to reach the net.

Before home time ...

After Bali Treetops we had a short drive to get some street food - food and drinks for seven people cost about £5 !!! We all went to see a big temple beside a lake called Pura Ulun Datu. It was very nice and relaxing as we were all very tired. Then Nita's brother took her home on a motorbike and we all went in the car - back to our villa.
