Ben’s Birthday

happy birthday

All in all a little bit different this year - Breakfast in Bali then dinner in Singapore!

On Tuesday the 29th of September 2015 it was my tenth birthday. We all had to wake up early because we had a three and a half hour drive to get to the airport to go to Singapore because we needed to renew our visas.

We had breakfast early and all the staff from the villa came to see me. They gave me a birthday cake and a little bracelet with my name on it. Well it actually said Bean, but the thought was there! They also gave Tom one even though it wasn’t his birthday.

Peter and Chris, the owners of the villa, also left me a big bar of chocolate with ribbons all over it.

On the way to the airport I threw up!!! Luckily I was able to just get out of the car in time. The driver Madi had a wet towel for me afterwards and I had to use my dad’s hankie to wipe my nose to try and get all the sick out.

The traffic was bad in Denpasar and we got to the airport it was less than an hour until our flight. The airport was very nice and you get something to eat before going through security unlike home.

When we got to Singapore we went straight to the hotel. After thirty minutes of just sitting around the doorbell rang. When we opened the door one of the hotel staff brought up a banana split for me to wish me happy birthday. I don’t eat much so I only ate the wafer that came with it; so daddy and Tom ate the split.

When it was dinner time we got a taxi to McDonalds. We went because I wanted to go there for dinner because it was my birthday and I thought why not.

When we got back to the hotel we went to bed and that was my birthday over.

It certainly isn’t every year your birthday starts in Bali and ends in Singapore. That was defiantly a different birthday than normal.

Thanks to everyone who sent me happy birthday messages and presents.
